Overview
The 2024 GMC Yukon full-size SUV caters to diverse preferences and requirements with its two size options – big or bigger – and a range of configurations. With pricing starting at $58,200, the Yukon provides versatility, from serving as a capable 3-row family transporter accommodating up to nine passengers to transforming into a luxurious utility vehicle equipped with features akin to those found in a Cadillac Escalade. Notably, its Super Cruise feature enables hands-free commuting for drivers. Additionally, the Yukon XL, the longer variant akin to the Chevy Suburban, offers enhanced third-row legroom and cargo space. Boasting three engine choices, including a powerful turbodiesel option renowned for its remarkable torque and fuel efficiency, the Yukon ensures there’s an option to match various needs and preferences.
What’s New for 2024?
For the 2024 model year, the GMC Yukon sees minimal updates. Notably, OnStar services now offer three years of remote access for SLE, SLT, and AT4 trims. Meanwhile, Denali and Denali Ultimate models receive three years of OnStar Premium services.
2024 GMC Yukon Models and Pricing
The 2024 GMC Yukon starts at $58,200 for the rear-wheel-drive Yukon SLE model. For variants with optional 4-wheel drive, add an extra $3,000. The extended-length Yukon XL models are priced $3,000 higher across the lineup. At the upper end, a Yukon XL Denali Ultimate commands $99,555, showcasing the wide range of models and price points available.
2024 GMC Yukon | MSRP |
GMC Yukon SLE | $58,200 |

Vast Interior
The GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, along with their Chevy counterparts, are among the few mainstream vehicles capable of seating up to nine passengers. This seating arrangement is facilitated by a front bench seat available exclusively on the base SLE trim.

However, most Yukon models feature front bucket seats, with the choice between a second-row bench for eight passengers or two captain’s chairs for seven, the latter being the configuration for upper trims.

Opting for at least an SLT trim over the base SLE model is advisable unless you specifically require seating for nine at the lowest cost. The SLT offers desirable features such as a hands-free power tailgate, heated and ventilated front seats, a Bose audio system, and a more comprehensive suite of safety systems.

Conversely, the Denali Ultimate trim indulges with luxuries like massaging front seats, premium leather upholstery, wood trim, a rear-seat entertainment system, and much more.

As expected from a large SUV, both the Yukon and Yukon XL provide ample interior space, with the latter offering even more room. The primary distinction between the two lies in third-row legroom and cargo capacity, with the Yukon XL boasting slightly more legroom at 36.7 inches compared to the standard Yukon’s 34.9 inches.

Massive Exterior
The GMC Yukon lineup offers two size options: the standard Yukon and the larger Yukon XL. Specifically, the Yukon measures 210 inches in length, while the XL stretches to 225.2 inches.

If you’re considering parking it in a garage, it’s advisable to measure first due to its substantial size.

Beyond its dimensions, the Yukon impresses with its bold and attractive design. Its commanding presence is undeniable, and each trim level adds its own distinctive styling touches.

For instance, the off-road-focused AT4 stands out with its red tow hooks, all-terrain tires, and skid plate, while Denali models exude luxury with their expected premium embellishments.
