What’s New for 2024?
The Hyundai Palisade underwent a comprehensive mid-cycle refresh in 2023, yet there are still noteworthy updates for the 2024 model year. A notable addition is the introduction of the Calligraphy Night Edition trim, featuring a dark appearance package and standard all-wheel drive (AWD). Furthermore, dual automatic climate control is now a standard feature across all trims, while the XRT model incorporates rear sunshades and the Limited trim includes standard ambient interior lighting. The 2023 refresh introduced a refreshed exterior styling, an updated infotainment system, and a tow mode for AWD-equipped models, alongside the introduction of the rugged XRT model to the lineup.

Premium Interior
The interior of the Hyundai Palisade exudes luxury and comfort. With its upscale design and premium materials, it feels like a higher-end SUV. The seats are particularly noteworthy, especially the optional Ergo-motion driver’s seat borrowed from the Genesis luxury brand. Featuring specially designed air cells for enhanced support, this seat significantly improves comfort during long drives.
The Palisade offers seating for up to eight passengers, which reduces to seven if you opt for second-row captain’s chairs. Choosing captain’s chairs not only enhances comfort in the second row but also improves access to the third row.
During our testing, we found the second row to be spacious and accommodating for adults, boasting above-average legroom of 42.4 inches. Meanwhile, the third row provides a respectable 31.4 inches of legroom, typical for an SUV of this size.
With all rear seats folded down, the Palisade boasts an expansive cargo hold. It offers up to 86.4 cubic feet of maximum cargo space, and folding just the third row still leaves a generous 45.8 cubic feet of room behind the second-row seats. Loading and unloading are made easy thanks to a wide rear opening, and the under-floor storage compartment adds to its practicality.
However, the cargo space behind the third row measures 18 cubic feet, slightly less than its Kia Telluride counterpart. The mechanically similar Telluride offers 21 cubic feet of cargo room when all seats are in place.
Distinct Exterior
The Hyundai Palisade makes a bold statement with its design, featuring a prominent grille that commands attention while exuding a sense of sophistication.
The grille’s imposing presence adds a touch of menace to the Palisade’s overall appearance, enhanced by its flashy detailing.
Complementing the striking front end are distinctively styled taillights that further contribute to the SUV’s unique aesthetic.
Positioned between these eye-catching elements, the Palisade embodies the essence of a spacious and well-proportioned 3-row midsize SUV.
Its robust silhouette and balanced proportions convey a sense of strength and presence on the road, making it stand out in its segment.
